SO, WHY CHOOSE THE CONDOR FILTER?
The Condor filter is an excellent choice for those who value portability. It can be deployed in almost any environment and be set up to begin producing clean safe water in under an hour. The Condor requires no additional infrastructure, electricity, or head (psi) to be put into service. This is a system that works without gravity, capable of filtering almost any moving water source.
WHY DOES THE CONDOR FILTER HAVE A FAUCET AND A PUMP?
These are two different ways to draw water from The Condor -- the small faucet at the bottom of the unit and the rotary pump. The small faucet at the bottom of the unit relies entirely on gravity to fill up a glass or water bottle. The rotary pump is designed to draw out much larger quantities of water (up to 19 liters/5 gallons per minute) to fill larger containers with clean water.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO ASSEMBLE THE CONDOR FILTER?
If you purchase the complete Condor filter, equipped with a barrel that has been pre-drilled, it generally takes under ½ hour to assemble.
If you order the main components of the Condor filter without the barrel, it will take closer to 1 ½ hours to set up.
Can the Condor filter be used to purify hot water?
No, you can permanently harm the hollow fibers of the filter element by running hot water through the system.
What is the advantage of choosing the Condor filter over other membrane filters?
The Condor filter can be used in a myriad of situations and be quickly set up to begin producing clean, safe water. It needs no additional infrastructure, electricity or head (feet of water). This system is very mobile and can filter almost any water source.
HOW DO YOU STORE THE CONDOR FILTER WHEN IT IS NOT IN USE?
Once the filter fibers are wet, it is best to keep them submersed in water.
The Condor filter is transportable, making it easy to stow in any location out of direct sunlight. The filter element can be removed and stored in a sealed plastic bag or small container filled with a 0.2% chlorine solution.
